Mr. Bill does Vegas/ Mr. Bill goes Hollywood
When I first opened this package on christmas, well I was ecstatic. I had heard about this dvd for two years and I had finally gotten it. After reading a couple of Amazon.com reviews I was very, VERY excited. I had to wait a while to view this movie. (Vacation) and when I got back the first thing I did (after unpacking luggage) was watched this dvd. I can tell you my thoughts about this dvd in two words... OH YES!
The first movie (Vegas) starts out with Mr. Bill coming home from grocery shopping and seeing a message on his answering machine which says, in a" classic big director voice" that he's been chosen to open for Wayne Newton. A very funny dream sequence kicks in and Mr. hands has to wake him up. After this he talks to several famous celebrities about what he should do for his routine. After this he practices at an improv comedy house and bombs. several of his jokes are horrible and stupid:
"What happens to a pope when he visits antarctica? He becomes a popesicle!" He even gets booed by his two friends Father Sardichi and somebody I cant remember. After several other stops, Mr. Bill finally makes it to the opening night but the people only laugh at him when he gets hurt. When Mr. Bill realizes this the movie ends.
5 stars: Doesn't rely on physical humor to make you laugh.
The next part of the dvd(Hollywood) is not as good but is very entertaining. It's just like they put 25 SNL shorts on a dvd except they are hilarious and in high quality. "Mr. Bill gets cloned" and the one where Mr. Bill does a weather report on the appocalypse. The music in the weather one is very good and it is ominous even though mr. Bill isnt nervous at all.
4 out of 5: Could have been better.
Tape average: 4.8
Great Job Walter.
